Dubai Aquarium, one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world, will open to the public on August 28, 2008, alongside the mall opening. Developed by Emaar Malls Group, The Dubai Mall is one of the largest shopping and entertainment destinations in the world and will feature over 1,200 retail stores and over 120 restaurants and cafes.

Fireworks and flames stunned crowds at the official opening of the Dubai Shopping Festival Thursday evening as the kickoff to the city’s largest event was held at Dubai Festival City.
Dubai Shopping Festival events director Yousuf Waleed said he was pleased with the show put on for hundreds of people. The wind didn’t dampen an amazing array of fireworks.

dubaii metro rail dream comes true soon.A 50km (Red Line') will link Rashidiya to the Jebel Ali Port. The system will have 55 stations, 18km of tunnels, 51 km of viaduct and a major depot. The fleet size will be over 100 train sets. The fully operational system will have the capacity to carry 1.2 million passengers daily
